B + I (although it’s mostly me, I’m not gonna lie) are planning a wedding!  yay!  I am finding TONs of fantastic inspriation out there and just can’t keep it all to myself.

1. Design Sponge.  I can’t begin to tell you all the ideas I’ve dreamed up from this site.  Most I can’t afford, but I keep being inspired a high, high priority, and if you do too, you really should be following this blog.

I found out about Sid Dickens via this blog.  And I’m 99% sure I’m going to register for some of his inspired artwork.

2.  The best save-the-date ever can be viewed here.  (Thanks for sharing Melanie.)

3.  I’ve highlighted these before, but I love looking through all the boards on Snippet & Ink.  Like Board #506: Quoth the Raven.  It reminds me of the play that swept through Boston just a bit ago, Sleep No More.  Did you see it?  Odd and awesome.  Look for it; you really should experience it.

4.  And lastly, I leave you with this.  WHITE:

It’s pure, simple, and right. (Kind of what a wedding should be like.)  I would LOVE a room like this.  But I can’t have one right now.  And so I’m going to save this for the second floor in the future, to-be-named B&B.

number 2.

Drum roll please.  No really, I guess that’s not necessary.
But a quick recap may be.

I am sussing out future locations for the nameless B&B.
(Perhaps we should have a naming brainstorm session?)  I am trying to narrow it down to 5 potential locations.  You can read about number 1 here.

And number 2? Saratoga Springs, New York.

I know it’s known for this:

But it’s also know for this:

Compliments of Sorelle Gallery.

And where there’s an art school there are artists looking for studio space!  And there are usually a good mix of people politically, economically, socially.  AND there’s usually good food!  (…a must in our book.)

B + I like the idea of upstate New York.  We think it’s beautiful.  And so while we’re not completely sold, we will continue investigating the area.  We stayed here once for a friend’s wedding.  It definitely intrigued us enough to want to learn more.

Any advice is welcome.

something to write about.

Thank you for reaching out and letting me know you were missing the blog.  How fun it was to hear from some of you.  I have no intentions of stopping.  Rather I aspire to be a better blogger.  So stay tuned.

As for a thought.  Have you heard of a project called Brooklyn Grange?  This initiative is all about growing vegetables on rooftops throughout NYC.  Genius.  They sell the produce to local restaurants.  Make sure to check it out, as they appear to have very cool events from time to time.  I learned about this on Design Sponge.  I love finding things like this when least expected.  I love learning about things like this through conversations with friends and strangers.  These types of stories and connections inspire me to stay creative, to innovate, to feed passions in my life.

It’s another thing I look forward to experiencing day after day when I am meeting people from all over the world (hopefully) at our b+b.  By the way, I think I have location #2 scoped out.  (#1 was Newark, NJ for those who may not know or remember.)  I’ll write about #2 soon.

I hope you are pleasantly surprised this weekend.
